Finnish power metal band Kiuas made the collective decision to fire vocalist Asim Searah (pictured in the middle above) earlier today, apparently after much deliberation. The band posted an official statement on their Facebook page, which reads as follows:
After careful consideration we have decided to fire Asim because – in short – he has proven to be too unreliable, unpredictable and untrustworthy.
We are slightly disappointed with how things turned out with him but luckily there are other people with the motivation, characteristics and skills necessary to fill the position.
We are also relieved that we don’t have to deal with the drama any more and can now focus on the stuff that matters.
No further details are available (and really, do we even need any?), but Kiuas have even already removed the singer from the background image on their official website. Perhaps the lineup shake-up will invigorate the band and we’ll get a new album out of them soon. One can only hope!
