Today we take a trip back to 1988 and a song by the German band Helloween off the Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part 2 album, I Want Out.
The song written by guitarist Kai Hansen refers to him expressing his dissatisfaction with what was going on at the time and wanting out of Helloween (Hansen then left after the European leg of the Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part II tour and went on to form Gamma Ray). The album is the second release with singer Michael Kiske who joined the band in 1986.
The band is creditied for being one of the first power metal bands and although they have changed members a number of times, they are a huge influence on the European power metal music scene today. They have released 14 studio albums to date while Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 and 2 are consideredto be 2 of the most classic albums in metal history.
