Is there anything more frustrating than a reticent band? As much as I love writing Hails Of The Week, it seems like in recent years, the bands I fall in love with have been making it harder and harder for me to write about them. Don’t these people want publicity?
Aaaaaanywho, Julius Seizure is a New Jersey hardcore/death metal band with a cool name and a cooler sound. They’re relatively new to the scene, having been founded just last year. Just last month, they independently released their debut album Beware The Ides Of March. The band is currently headlining the Gladia-Tour (I love the Roman puns, I only wish they’d extended it to their song titles), and they’re playing at Fontana’s (along with Desolate, Lies Beneath, Slam One Down, and Beyond Dishonor) in lower Manhattan TONIGHT! If you’re in the NYC area, you’re 21+, and you’ve got $10 to your name, you’ve got no excuse — be there or be square!
Below is a taste of what you’ll hear if you decide to go to Fontana’s tonight. Death with a dash of core, they remind me a lot of At The Gates.
