Amanda Bynes. Brett Favre. Gaahl. What do these three folks have in common? They’re all famous unretirers! However, unlike Bynes and Favre, Gaahl came back to do something actually worthy of note — that is, help Norwegian black metal band God Seed record and release their debut album.
I Begin has been in the works for several years now, and it’s one of the most anticipated black metal albums of 2012, if not the last five years. After Gaahl retired and Shagrath (of Dimmu Borgir) fame departed from the band, God Send’s future became somewhat uncertain. However, the band released Live From Wacken earlier this year and they seem ready to make a real comeback. I Begin will be released in North America on October 22 via Indie Recordings.
